Doughnuts, Doughnuts, Doughnuts!

Yummy doughnuts!

Recently, I visited my local doughnut shop down the street and can I just say WOW! New flavors like s'mores, glaze covered with favorite cereals sprinkled on top, and what? CRONUTS! Everything looked so delicious and lucky for me, I was on my way to an office meeting so I had a good excuse to buy at least a dozen.

Doughtnuts are all the rage, so thought to put my baking skills to the test with some cake batter doughnuts and some sweet glazes. If you ever would like to try, definitely purchase a doughtnut mold cake pan with your favorite cake recipe and Wah-lah! You are now ready to bake away!

Sometimes when I have cake orders, and yes, I always have left over batter, so why not put it to use and make something delicious out of it.

Creating and tasting is my favorite part, especially the tasting! So, taste testers, get ready!

Emoji Fun!

Whew! Busy, busy weekend! Do you have weekends that fly by and it's Monday already? Yep, that's what happened, but glad I was able to keep my groove in!

Text messaging is what we all use now to communicate, it's crazy! Even through messaging, we attach all kinds of different emoji's or characters. It makes our messages fun!

Here's a fun cake I created on Sunday and oh, what a fun cake design! Loved the turn out! Cupcakes were also added into the mix for a complete look.

Happy Birthday to Kenzie!

Sweet Baby Shower Celebration

WEEKEND CAKES! Babies are the cutest, sweetest, and most adorable little ones we treasure, especially when it's delivered by a stork. A sweet celebration happened today with a soon-to-be-here baby girl. I love being a part of special occasions by creating a cake.

I wanted to share the decorating process when I'm in creation mode. Got to get the creative and artistry juices flowing!

Here's a fun video to show some live action when creating this cake!

Smackers, a cookie sandwich

Feeling Inspired...

Being a baker and a cake decorator, I have those moments where I am flooded with new ideas. I am always thinking of something new. Pinterest is my go to inspiration outlet, but I really believe it can be good and bad. It's all about originality! Make it your own, your design, your recipe! Here's a new creation that I've been wanting to share for a long time now and FINALLY WILL! Hooray! So, I hope you all enjoy and know how excited I am to share this all with you in my very first blog post. So, expect to see cake designs and new creations.

Cookies! Cookies! Cookies! Here's the breakdown of what Smackers are made up of. Two soft chocolate chip cookies smacked together with some sweet, fluffy Italian Meringue Vanilla Buttercream, dipped in chocolate and drizzled over with caramel. This dessert is definitely like having a sugar party in your mouth! Lucky for me my sister, Breana, came up with the name and thought, what a great idea for a name. The original name was "Smackerdoodles."

Thanks so much for all of your support and I hope to bring forth many more delicious and yummy cakes and desserts!
